I have this terrible habit of scrolling dog rescue pages. Ugh…so many dogs that need a home and Dave and I are limited by time, space, and money. It’s expensive to keep a dog these days. I also think of Shelby and Arlo and how they’re a solid bonded pair. They play with each other, snuggle with each other, and even mutually groom. I worry that adding another dog would mess with their mojo.
Still, a week or so ago, I landed on the page of a little, long-haired Chihuahua the rescue called Cocoa Puff. She was absolutely perfect and stole my heart with one video. I can’t take her in so I scrolled on by, but this morning, I had to return to see if she found a home and was thrilled to see that she did. The photo of the adopters put my mind to rest. They looked perfect for Cocoa Puff.
I know I’m not alone. There are more dogs needing homes than there are people who can take them in. But, even if we can’t adopt another pup, there are many ways we can help, sm…
